ARTIST STATEMENT- Meg Brooks
Margaret Brooks is a representational sculptor who enjoys doing a variety of subjects. She works in terracotta, wood, and stone. She is particularly interested in doing portrait busts and is available for commissions. Pet portraits are also one of her favorite subjects. Margaret has studied with Stanley Bleifeld and Peter Rubino, both nationally-known sculptors. She has also taken classes at Silvermine College of Art in Norwalk, Connecticut. She has exhibited her work at the “Picture This” and “Handwright” galleries in Westport and New Canaan, Connecticut respectively. Her work is found in institutions and private collections.
