ARTIST'S STATEMENT  

Keith Brooks likes to paint New England landscapes and seascapes. He is interested, also, in depicting relationships of individuals to one another.

His technique typically exaggerates light and dark to draw the viewers’ attention to one aspect of the subject. He has been influenced by the work of G. LaTour, C. Corot and E. Hopper and their mastery of light.

Mr. Brooks studied art at the University of Connecticut, at Bridgeport University and at the Silvermine Guild Art School.

He has exhibited at Sconset on Nantucket Island, Eagle Tower in Stamford and at the Carriage Barn, Waveny Park, New Canaan.

He is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Brooks Laboratories, Inc. of Norwalk and New Haven.

Keith's Studio is in Weston, Connecticut, which he shares with his wife, Dr. Margaret Brooks, a well known sculptor.
